On December 1st, TKS is proud to present a Toronto screening of Miss Representation, a documentary that studies women’s portrayal in the media, both in front and behind the camera.
“The film Miss Representation exposes how American youth are being sold the concept that women and girls’ value lies in their youth, beauty and sexuality. It’s time to break that cycle of mistruths.”
A panel discussion and Q&A will follow after the screening. Panelists include Sonya JF Barnett, Madame of The Keyhole Sessions and Co-founder of SlutWalk Toronto; and Stacey May Fowles, co-editor of She’s Shameless: women write about growing up, rocking out and fighting back, former publisher of Shameless Magazine and current writer for The Walrus. Third panelist to be confirmed.
Advance Tickets available at EventBrite.
$10.
A few tickets will be made available at the Box Office, but best chances for seating are via advance tickets.
