My my, aren’t we prolific? Two events from Keyhole models in one week!
Next up is Pandora La Glamme’s Glam Rock Cabaret, on September 19th, at Comedy Bar, 945 Bloor West.
Fire breathers, fire hurlers, vaudeville, burleseque, lovely girls with handbells {Mara’s back rockin’ the bells}.

On September 18th, make it a point to go to the iconic Gladstone Hotel in the Queen West Hip District to attend an art opening of raunchy proportions, helping kick off the annual Queen West Art Crawl.
How fitting that our very own Keyhole model, Mara, has co-curated the Rated R Show. From their site:
“The Rated R Show is an exciting new outlet for local artists to explore adult subject matter. Sixteen professional illustrators, photographers, fine artists, video game and comic artists have been given the freedom to tackle the taboo.”
How can you not go?

I’m still fooling around with the best way to display the photo and artist galleries, just so’s ya know.

It is with pouty lips that I announce we are no longer having a Gallery Show to accompany our Nuit Blanche debauchery event. It was our original intention to display framed/mounted artist works along the Theatre’s exhibition wall, but now that we are located in a different studio for the evening of the 3rd, we will not have access to the upstairs level where the wall is located.
But do not fear. We will be taping up all the drawings that will occur on that evening on the Studio wall; a real-time display of the models as they pose, so not a complete loss. We are supplying newsprint and pencils/charcoal for the night.
For those who were interested in exhibiting their Keyhole art, we are considering an end-of-year show. So have patience, my little ones. All is not lost…

September marks the end of {what some called} Summer, and the start of cooler nights.
We begin this new season with the introduction of our latest model and new burlesque performer, Ava Noir, on Sept 15th, 2009. I’m looking forward to sharing the stage with her and seeing what she’ll do with to me.
I’m itching to see everyone again, and very proud The Keyhole Sessions will be a source of heat for many during the colder, darker nights.
Long live sultry debauchery.

To all my lovely artists considering visiting us tomorrow: our stage is dark since many are returning to school, and many are recovering from a long {and hopefully debaucherous} weekend.

Ok, so we’re only about 4 months old. And we don’t draw tens of thousands of people. But our lovely group made up of beautiful models, talented rope rigger{s}, and amazing artists gives off a vibe that I couldn’t replace. The environment that has become The Keyhole Sessions is warm, friendly and fun. What more could you ask for on a Tuesday night for twelve bucks?
So here I put out a call to everyone who has experienced or heard about a Keyhole Session: NOW Magazine has presented its annual BEST OF questionnaire and we thought we’d throw our name in the bucket. You can submit your vote online here. Whether you’re a model, artist, or even if you haven’t attended, but think our racy life-drawing sessions are a fabulous idea, cast your vote. So show us some love and let’s be the David to Scotia Bank’s Goliath!
And if we happen to make it into the running, we’ll make it worth your while. There’s another Saucetastic extended event we’re contemplating…

Yay! A more social website means I can post missives and photos in the wink of an eye. So here’s my first post of “The morning after the night before“. We had an absolutely lovely evening last night with Kirby Grip and our newest model, Miss S. From classic cabaret to modern-day dominatrix & submissive pet, it was a night that resulted in some pretty racy and amazing drawings. More pics from last night’s Session will be added to our aptly named Galleries page throughout the day.
