Sex+ART= Sirens
Sunday, March 13th, 7pm
Controversial artist Norman Lyndsay {Sam Neill} is branded a blasphemer after his latest sexually-charged portraits catch the scornful eye of the Church in 1930s Britain. Young Minister Anthony Campion {Hugh Grant} and his wife Estella {Tara Fitzgerald} are dispatched to the artist’s model-filled homestudio in the Australian countryside to persuade Lyndsay to remove his work from an upcoming exhibition. Thrust into a bohemian lifestyle where art and sex collide with their traditional, conservative values the orthodox couple are faced with conflicting desires that until now had remained hidden from each other and themselves.
The second installment in The Keyhole Sessions’ Sex+ Film Festival, Sirens is Sex+ART; and shows that by opening oneself up through art can have immense and profound impact on the meaning of one’s life. We work hard at TKS to marry these two concepts respectfully, playfully, lustfully.
Enjoy treats from our Sponsor of Ultimate Awesomeness, OMG Baked Goodness, and we’ll be raffling off a gift from our SweetScreen Sponsor, Aboveground Art Supplies.
Plus we’ll be screening a wee documentary short, depicting art of another kind. ;)
