It’s coming: The Final Session

by The Madame

This is it, people. The final Session.

It’s been an amazing ride of 90 life-drawing Sessions. From humble beginnings at Lower Ossington Theatre, to larger drawing extravaganzas at The Great Hall and Revival, it’s time to move on the even bigger and better.

We’re retiring the monthly life-drawing portion of TKS to make room for more photographic events and erotic film production, starting in 2013.

Our models are some of the most amazing people we’ve ever met, and our lives are all the better for it. As Madame, I’m honoured to have had so many amazing women grace our stage {and some pretty cool men}, and so many fabulous artists draw for posterity. We’re all proud of the sex positive community we’ve created and we hope to see you at our future events.

Until then, we invite you to celebrate with us, as only we know how: with booze and naked women.

Come draw over TWENTY models, filling all corners of The Mod Club, in a grand homage to Missy Suicide’s photo essay of Fight Club. If you haven’t seen the photos, make sure you take a peek:

When the drawing stops, we’d love for you to continue to party with us. So make sure you get a good’s night rest during the weekend previous, and prepare to call in sick the morning after. Because the night’s going to be a doozy, and there is no better way to ring in the holidays.

The Morning After The Week Before: DirtyWork

by The Madame

So our show, DirtyWork, was a smashing success. Held at The Gladstone Hotel ArtBar, our weeklong exhibition of debaucherous art wowed a tonne of people and made quite a mark.

Hundreds of submissions curated down to 82 pieces were on display for people to see just what we do here at TKS. While it would be easy for us to fall on the wrong side of skeezy, we work hard to bring a level of sophistication to the marriage of sex and art. I’m very proud of all the artists who participated, all our wonderful performers who are the subjects for them, and all our patrons who help spread the Keyhole word.

Our Gala opening for DirtyWork was nothing short of spectacular. We strutted our stuff to a packed room all evening long, and it was lovely to introduce our community to those not in the know. Big kisses to JP Robichaud, Poisonne and Sid Licious for the amazing rope demonstrations throughout the night. To all those who received swag treats from TKS/Come As You Are, we hope you put them to good use. We also hope you got a kick from our adult cinema Peepshows!

Congratulations to all artists who sold pieces during the exhibition:

Naomi Belcamino
PJ Bell
Mikki Benaglia
Chrystal Ferriera
Nelson G
Matt Loppie
Hany Maurice
Ken McCuen
Minerva Mopsy
Voula Monoholias
Serena S
and even me!

Thanks to Nymph Suicide, PJ Bell and Annie Fanny for helping set up and strike the show; couldn’t have done it without you. And special thanks to The Gladstone Hotel, their staff and especially Suzette for making us feel very welcome in their gallery.

We look forward to seeing what the future brings for The Keyhole Sessions and our community, and just how much more dirty art we can all make.

The Morning After The Night Before: Sloth

by The Madame

Hookahs and brass lamps set the tone for a mellow evening of chilled beats and and jewelled colours. Smokey-eyed Poisonne warmed up our stage in JP Robichaud’s beautiful silk & rope dress, preparing us for the arrival of  the lovely Ali Kat and Bella Fox.

Despite this Madame’s forgetfulness of not actually lighting the hookahs, we were all still mesmerized in a haze of candle light and smooth skin. Opium dens are certainly the perfect representation of our third Deadly Session.

Thanks to all who came out. We look forward to seeing your work {send it our way!}.

Stay tuned for Photos, Drawings and Playlist.

Don’t forget that Sunday, April 22nd is Girls on Film VI, our all-cameras Session. If you haven’t been to one, you’ll want to bring your camera and come to this. Tickets are going fast with only a few left. Get yours now.

We’re excited to see you all for the next Deadly Session, Pride, on May 8th. It’s our 3 year anniversary, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a room full of artists and a slew of amazing models. See you soon!
