The Morning After The Week Before: DirtyWork

by The Madame

So our show, DirtyWork, was a smashing success. Held at The Gladstone Hotel ArtBar, our weeklong exhibition of debaucherous art wowed a tonne of people and made quite a mark.

Hundreds of submissions curated down to 82 pieces were on display for people to see just what we do here at TKS. While it would be easy for us to fall on the wrong side of skeezy, we work hard to bring a level of sophistication to the marriage of sex and art. I’m very proud of all the artists who participated, all our wonderful performers who are the subjects for them, and all our patrons who help spread the Keyhole word.

Our Gala opening for DirtyWork was nothing short of spectacular. We strutted our stuff to a packed room all evening long, and it was lovely to introduce our community to those not in the know. Big kisses to JP Robichaud, Poisonne and Sid Licious for the amazing rope demonstrations throughout the night. To all those who received swag treats from TKS/Come As You Are, we hope you put them to good use. We also hope you got a kick from our adult cinema Peepshows!

Congratulations to all artists who sold pieces during the exhibition:

Naomi Belcamino
PJ Bell
Mikki Benaglia
Chrystal Ferriera
Nelson G
Matt Loppie
Hany Maurice
Ken McCuen
Minerva Mopsy
Voula Monoholias
Serena S
and even me!

Thanks to Nymph Suicide, PJ Bell and Annie Fanny for helping set up and strike the show; couldn’t have done it without you. And special thanks to The Gladstone Hotel, their staff and especially Suzette for making us feel very welcome in their gallery.

We look forward to seeing what the future brings for The Keyhole Sessions and our community, and just how much more dirty art we can all make.

The Morning After The Night Before: Girls on Film VI

by The Madame

The room cleaned up, our bodies exhausted and the champagne uncorked, we’re very happy to report that our sixth instalment of Girls on Film was a debaucherous success.

Ali Kat, Miss S, Nymph Suicide, Poisonne and Sid Licious roamed the room for the delight of over 40 photographers in our chic and stylish lounge on The Esplanade. Strutting their stuff in cocktail dresses and rope-laden sheaths, our 5 lovelies opened the evening, later revealing lacy bare necessities, and finally nothing but bare skin. Coupled with JP Robichaud’s striking ropework, and we’re all very happy campers.

We’re very thankful to Toni Wallachy and her Pink Panthers studio crew for setting up the lighting stations and acting very fast on their feet during changeups. Big shout out also goes to Franz E. Kinkerzoink for creating the skrim setup, showing us that silhouettes behind sheer fabric can yield many a fine photo.

Props to Mara & Susie Caboose for being our gracious assistants; Matt Loppie for helping facilitate use of the space, and to my loving compliment, Aaron Barnett, because support and strong arms are valuable commodities.

Air kisses to all our photographers. Your enthusiasm, respect for the event, and smiling faces made for a perfect way to spend a Sunday night. We look very forward to seeing your work: please upload to our site, email, or send us links. We’ll start assembling Galleries in the coming weeks {we know it will take a while for you to process all those shots}.

Three acts and various lighting setups resulted in thousands of photos, full media cards and emptied canisters of film. We hope you were pleasantly sated, and that you will start feeling hungry cravings for more as we now start planning Girls on Film VII.

Keep in mind that our TKS exhibition at The Gladstone Hotel will be held in July. Called Dirty Work, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your fine photographic talents. Details and submission guidelines will become available on this site in the coming weeks.

We’ll soon post the night’s Playlist, and any photos that come our way.

Something wicked this way comes

by The Madame

It’s that time again.

TKS  is proud to present our 6th all-cameras event. Our next location is at a posh, private condo building near St. Lawrence Market. Tufted leather seating, patterned wallpaper and rich hardwood floors make this our most deluxe venue to date.
