The demon revealed
The cold that was brought in on everyone’s coats last night quickly melted as TKS began its Valentine celebrations a few days early.
jak.kay warmed up the stage in Act I, laden in the ‘cuter’ version of latex, utilizing a barbwire rose in ways that most of us would never consider. Act II saw Miss Rubber World 2011, Archean welcome TKS newbie, Olive-or-Oliver and we began the descent into shiny madness. Although we witnessed Archean’s gradual transformation, nothing could have prepared us for her reveal in the third and final act of the night.
Having finally captured those who teased her, Archean transformed from Innocent to Demon, complete with spine, gasmask and horns. Roped to her side, care of HeadRigger JP Robichaud, jay.kay and Olive-or-Oliver became enslaved, giving in to the inevitable consequence. We expect many a fabulous drawing from this Session.
Massive thanks to all that came out. A full house of artists new and veteran is a lovely site to behold.

Come with your paper & pencils and leave your inhibitions at the door.

Last night The Great Hall was all aflutter with charcoal streaking and brushes flying. In the Conversation Room, our stage was graced by Bella Fox, wrapped in her kimono like a tight Japanese present. Later joined by the lavishly roped-up jay.kay, we also welcomed the curious from Art Battle, being held in the Main Hall. It’s always a pleasure to introduce TKS to the new and uninitiated.
Thanks to all that came out. Yet again we saw incredible pieces being crafted, so please send them our way to be added to our Gallery. You can email us or use our new upload form. You can also post to our Facebook Wall.
Don’t forget next week is Unwrapped: The Great Holiday Blowout. The last Session of 2010, this will be a special 3-hour event in the Main Hall. So bring your best supplies, grab a drink from the bar and draw the last debaucherous hurrah for the year.

Last night, jay.kay strutted her stuff in Act I, warming up the stage for TKS newbie, Brad. We’re always excited about introducing new models, especially male ones and last night was no exception. We take pride in the fact that our models come with great looks, spunk and ‘wardrobe’ {that’s why we hire them}. But when models show up with a bag of leather & steel accoutrements, our smiles get that much bigger. Who doesn’t like it when the ball stretcher comes out?
Thanks to all that came out. ‘Twas great to see so many despite the rain. Makes us think our artists have their priorities straight. ;) As always, lovely to see faces new and old, and thanks to all that helped strike the room.
Next week, Jennifer Rose helps us introduce yet another model, Harlot Fever. yay! But not before our biggest event of the year, Les Oiseaux Enlacés. On October 2nd, Nuit Blanche revellers aren’t the same after many hours of drawing beautiful people. So make sure you make us a stop along your Queen Street sojourn. We’ll be at Twist Gallery.
