The Morning After The Night Before: Rise & Fall of the Gorgon
by The Madame
Last night we welcomed a very full house to our mythical Greek tribute. Billie Black as Athena warmed up the stage for her encounter with Medusa, who appeared in the lovely shape of Nymph Suicide. After watching the Gorgon strut her pride, she cursed Medusa and unleashed her evil creation to the world.
TKS debuted our newest model, Ali Kat, as the heroic Perseus, arriving for the gruesome task of beheading the snake-laden monster. Proud of her spoils, she sat triumphantly with the headless body and deferent Athena at her feet.
Thanks to all who came out; it’s always lovely to see a room full of artists, new and vet to TKS. We send our best wishes to our HeadRigger, JP Robichaud, who couldn’t be with us due to a badly broken foot. Here’s to a speedy recovery.
Congrats to our Lucky You! gift-basket winners. We trust they’ll have a great time exploring their new treats, and we know Lucky You! would love to hear from them, especially if the messages are left out-of-breath.
We look forward to seeing the documentary footage of last night’s Session by Zach and we’ll keep you in the loop.
Photos, Drawings {please send ‘em our way to be added to our Gallery} and Playlist to follow in later posts throughout the week.
See you next month for our holiday tribute to The Snow Queen!

TKS takes you back to ancient Greece, to the time of myth and legend.
The only mortal of three Gorgon sisters, Medusa was ravaged by Poseidon, God of the Sea. In a jealous and vengeful rage, Athena turned Medusa’s hair to snakes and cast a spell that would turn any man to stone when they gazed upon the outcast.
In a plot that had ulterior motives, Perseus was sent to behead the evil Gorgon and return with his prize to the island of Seriphos.
Armed with Athena’s shield, Perseus was able to take advantage of Medusa’s reflection, and struck the fatal blow, ridding the creature of her cruel, tangled head.
Come draw Nymph Suicide as Medusa, Billie Black as Athena and introducing Ali Kat as Perseus as they reenact those fateful days.
